Aerial Perspective

In this class, students learn about aerial or atmospheric interference with visual perception and how it causes a loss of contrast, detail, and sharp focus. They also learn that bright whites and rich blacks tend toward medium gray and eventually disappear into a light background. After learning the theory, students are asked to make a drawing depicting aerial perspective using the corresponding values. The materials used are pencils and Bristol paper.
