Maria Montessori

Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, researcher, public speaker and educator in the early to mid-1900’s. She brought her novel ideas of education to create the classic Montessori Method.
She was known to say:
“The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”
News of her expertise spread swiftly throughout Europe and to the Americas, where Dr. Montessori was called upon to present her research and the methods she'd developed.
