After years of working as an RN, Mara decided to follow her heart and turn her passion for baking into a career. Mara now works full time creating custom cakes from her Vancouver, WA baking headquarters. Sweet Zen Cakes follows the philosophy that each cake should perfectly encapsulate the spirit of the event. Whether it is a wedding or a birthday party, Sweet Zen Cakes’ one-of-a-kind confections are always a hit.

WHAT KIND OF CAKES I MAKE?

I love working with all types of cake design techniques from basic buttercream with classic piped borders to elaborately sculpted and hand painted gumpaste, fondant, and modeling chocolate. All my cakes are moist, delicious, beautiful, and custom made for your special occasion.
